MetLife Ita\u00fa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Floresta MetLife Ita\u00fa \u00e9 um projeto que faz parte de uma s\u00e9rie de iniciativas implementadas pela MetLife ao longo dos \u00faltimos anos e que atendem a v\u00e1rias das 11 metas ambientais globais, que devem ser cumpridas at\u00e9 2030, seguindo os Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel (ODS) da ONU.<\/p>\n<p>No dia 18 de novembro, cerca de 50 pessoas, entre volunt\u00e1rios e colaboradores da MetLife Brasil se reuniram para o plantio das primeiras \u00e1rvores, dando in\u00edcio \u00e0 segunda etapa desse projeto, que conta com o plantio de 5 mil mudas de \u00e1rvores nativas da Mata Atl\u00e2ntica no munic\u00edpio de Nazar\u00e9 Paulista (SP) em parceria com o projeto Semeando \u00c1gua, uma iniciativa do IP\u00ca, Instituto de Pesquisas Ecol\u00f3gicas.<\/p>\n<p>O plantio acontece em uma floresta particular, pertencente ao s\u00edtio Jacarand\u00e1s, uma Reserva Particular do Patrim\u00f4nio Natural (RPPN) e faz parte de uma a\u00e7\u00e3o que visa contribuir para a conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade e da seguran\u00e7a h\u00eddrica do Sistema Cantareira, um dos maiores sistemas de abastecimento do mundo, respons\u00e1vel pelo fornecimento de \u00e1gua para aproximadamente 46% da Regi\u00e3o Metropolitana de S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00a0\u201cEsta iniciativa nos d\u00e1 a oportunidade de vivenciar o nosso prop\u00f3sito, e, mais do que atender \u00e0s metas de sustentabilidade, contribuir de forma efetiva para o meio ambiente e a nossa comunidade em um
